NEFERTITI, ANKH, SCARAB STUDS

The mysterious ancient queen ‘Queen Nefertiti’ was one of the most powerful women in the ancient times. Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen and consort of King Akhenaten who remains a mystery to researchers even today. It is believed that she lived an epoch from around 1370 B.C. to 1330 B.C.

The Ankh is also known as key of life or the key of the Nile AND was the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "eternal life". Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop, or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest.

In ancient Egyptian religion the scarab was also a symbol of immortality, resurrection, transformation and protection much used in funerary art. The life of the scarab beetle revolved around the dung balls that the beetles consumed, laid their eggs in, and fed their young represented a cycle of rebirth.
